Badminton happens somewhere specific, so people are easier to find when you start from the place. Every venue in OutRally carries its own community — the players associated with it, the plans connected to it and the activity around it — which makes a venue the most natural entry point into a local badminton scene.

Setting a Home Venue anchors you in that community. It tells the rest of the app where your badminton usually happens, and it gives other players a meaningful signal when they come across your profile. If you are new to an area, exploring badminton venues is often the fastest route to finding players.

Finding players only matters if it results in a game. Plan to Play is how you say, clearly and in advance, that you intend to play — the kind of intent that normally disappears into a message thread. Publishing a plan lets the right people see it and join you, instead of everyone waiting for someone else to organise.

From there a session can become a rally: invite and confirm the players, follow the session together, and lock the final result into a shared record. That record is what feeds your OutRally profile and your OutRally Rate over time, so the games you organise count for something beyond the evening they happen.

Some games are planned and some are spontaneous. Available Now covers the second case: a deliberate signal that you are up for a game right now. It is opt-in, and it appears only when you choose to publish it — never automatically, and never as a side effect of using the app.

That distinction matters. Availability in OutRally is something you switch on with intent, which keeps the signal honest for everyone reading it.

Once you have found someone to play with, the Players Hub keeps the connection alive between games. Chats, contacts and Moments — the photos, clips and stories the community shares — mean a one-off game can become a regular partner, a doubles pairing or a group that keeps showing up. Community is what turns discovery into a badminton routine.

Finding players should never mean broadcasting your movements. In OutRally, checking in does not announce where you are, and your current venue is not exposed automatically.
