A New Way to Play: Ultimate Collaboration Across the Net
Traditional badminton is typically defined by competition across the net. R20™ introduces a completely new way to play: seamless cross-net cooperation. In the R20 format, the players standing on the opposite side of the court are no longer your opponents—they are your teammates. Whether playing as a two-person duo or a four-person squad distributed across both sides of the net, you operate as a single unified team. Your shared objective is to keep the shuttlecock alive and challenge the records set by every other group in the venue.
The mechanism is simple yet thrilling: Your score is determined by the number of continuous shots your team can keep going in a single rally. The team with the highest shot count wins.
On Board: A team must successfully complete 20 consecutive shots in a single rally to get their names on the leaderboard.
Full Rally: Keeping the shuttlecock from touching the floor for 3 full minutes is considered a "Full Rally." For teams that achieve this, the ultimate tie-breaker is the total number of shots.
In official events, each team will play 3 rounds, with their best single-rally score counting towards their final ranking.
Designed with inclusivity in mind, R20 features categories for all demographics, including Family, Youth, and a Senior division (60+), making it a true sport for everyone.
